Salary Range: $45,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on a wide range of measurement and test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning calibration equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Document calibration results, maintaining detailed records in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and update calibration procedures and work instructions to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Analyze calibration data to identify trends and potential issues, recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support equipment readiness and quality initiatives.
  • Maintain calibration standards and ensure they are traceable to national or international standards.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Electronics, Metrology, Mechatronics) or equivalent vocational training/certifications.
  • 2-5 years of experience performing calibration, maintenance, or repair of precision measuring equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, technical manuals, and calibration procedures.
  • Strong understanding of metrology principles, measurement uncertainty, and calibration standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI Z540.1).
  • Experience with various types of test and measurement equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, pressure gauges, temperature sensors, torque wrenches).

Bonus Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification
  • Experience with a wide range of test and measurement equipment brands and models
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficiency in using calibration management software (e.g., Fluke Met/Track, IndySoft Gage InSite)
  • Ability to perform minor repairs or adjustments on equipment during calibration
