EHS Manager | Hart, MI

Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and policies.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify hazards and risks.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Provide EHS training to employees at all levels of the organization.
• Manage hazardous waste disposal and maintain associated documentation.
• Oversee occupational health and safety programs, including industrial hygiene monitoring.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to integrate EHS considerations into new projects and processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and systems.
• Professional certification such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM is preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
• Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plans (RMP)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Fluency in Spanish or another relevant second language
