Quality Engineer | Grandville, MI

Salary Range: $76,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection plans.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Monitor and analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for quality improvement.
• Perform product inspections and audits to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure product quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, 5 Whys).
• Experience with metrology and inspection techniques, including the use of various measurement tools.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
• Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies
• Familiarity with Minitab or other statistical software for data analysis
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and auditing processes
