Salary Range: $55,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely quotes for customers based on specifications.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production to gather necessary information for quotes.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with customers to secure orders.
• Maintain and update pricing databases and quoting tools.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest alternative solutions.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding quotes and pricing.
• Follow up on submitted quotes to track status and gather feedback.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a quoting or estimating role within manufacturing.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple quotes simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP/CRM systems specific to manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce).
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with common manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly).
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles in a manufacturing context.
• Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or supply chain (e.g., CSCP).
