Salary Range: $88,000 - $134,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Newaygo seeking Shop Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production schedules and resource allocation to meet manufacturing targets.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control standards on the shop floor.
• Manage, train, and develop a team of production staff, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Monitor equipment maintenance and repair schedules to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
• Optimize workflow processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
• Control inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support production and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with engineering and supply chain departments to resolve production issues and improve product designs.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing shop environment
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in production scheduling and inventory management software
