Staff Accountant | Allendale, MI

Salary Range: $58,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Allendale that are seeking Staff Accountants. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts monthly.
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close.
• Assist with inventory costing and variance analysis.
• Process accounts payable invoices and expense reports.
• Generate financial reports and schedules for management review.
• Support annual external audits by providing requested documentation.
• Maintain fixed asset register and calculate depreciation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting in a manufacturing setting

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with a specific ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) commonly used in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles and their application in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with inventory management processes and their financial implications.
• Experience with process improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) within finance or operations.
• Ability to analyze production variances and contribute to operational efficiency discussions.
