Salary Range: $61,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Coopersville region seeking Staff Accountants. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts monthly.
• Prepare and post journal entries for various financial transactions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.
• Assist with inventory valuation and cost accounting activities.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in general accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
• Experience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Understanding of inventory costing and manufacturing accounting principles

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with a specific ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) commonly used in manufacturing.
• Background in cost accounting or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for financial reporting and analysis.
• CPA certification or actively pursuing one.
