Salary Range: $78,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Caledonia that are seeking skilled Supplier Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality plans and procedures.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define supplier requirements and specifications.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply base to enhance product quality and reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC).
• Proven ability to conduct supplier audits, analyze data, and drive corrective actions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with AI-powered quality tools or predictive analytics in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of advanced robotics or automation systems in a production environment.
• Certification in a specialized quality methodology (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer).
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
• Proficiency in a second language, particularly one common in global supply chains.
