Staff Accountant | Spring Lake, MI

Salary Range: $61,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Spring Lake that are seeking skilled Staff Accountants. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various other balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing supporting schedules and analyses.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and inventory valuations.
• Process accounts payable invoices and employee expense reports.
• Support external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems)
• Experience with inventory costing and analysis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
