Shipping & Receiving Lead | Fremont, MI

Salary Range: $50,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Fremont seeking Shipping & Receiving Leads who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead and train a team of shipping and receiving personnel.
• Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and systems.
• Coordinate with production, sales, and logistics to optimize material flow.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies or issues.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in a shipping/receiving role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of up to 5 individuals.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and systems (ERP/MRP).
• Experience with freight carrier management and logistics.
• Proficient in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, with current certification.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with shipping regulations.

Bonus Qualifications

• Forklift certification (e.g., OSHA)
• Experience with RF scanners and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or 5S methodology
• Ability to perform basic maintenance on warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, scales)
