Shop Manager | St. Johns, MI

Salary Range: $82,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in St. Johns that are seeking Shop Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production schedules and resource allocation.
• Manage and mentor a team of manufacturing technicians.
• Ensure adherence to quality control standards and safety regulations.
• Optimize shop floor layout and workflow for efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material procurement.
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs for machinery.
• Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with engineering and sales on new product development and customization.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing shop environment
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices
• Proven ability to manage and optimize production schedules
• Demonstrated experience with safety protocols and compliance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
