Advanced Quality Engineer | Fremont, MI
Salary Range: $84,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective/preventive actions using advanced problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC).
- Drive the application of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities for new product introduction and changes.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) and conduct process capability studies to ensure robust manufacturing processes.
- Conduct FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and control plan development to proactively identify and mitigate quality risks.
- Analyze complex quality data, identify trends, and develop strategic initiatives for continuous improvement and defect reduction.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Provide technical expertise and training to cross-functional teams on quality tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Recommended Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in core quality methodologies and tools including FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans, PPAP, and 8D problem-solving.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives, preferably with Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data interpretation using software such as Minitab or JMP.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or equivalent) or a related technical field.
Bonus Qualifications
- Master Black Belt Certification (Lean Six Sigma)
- Proficiency in Python or R for advanced statistical analysis and data automation
- Experience with AI/Machine Learning applications in predictive quality or process optimization
- Demonstrated expertise in Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodologies
