Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counting, physical inventories, and reconciliation processes.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices to optimize stock levels and minimize obsolescence.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations, aligning with production schedules.
  • Utilize and maintain the ERP/WMS system for all inventory transactions and data integrity.
  • Analyze inventory data and generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as turnover, accuracy, and obsolete stock.
  • Lead, train, and supervise inventory control staff on proper procedures and system usage.
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics departments to ensure seamless material flow and inventory availability.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory control or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and strong data analysis skills (e.g., Excel, SQL).
  • In-depth understanding and practical application of inventory management principles and methodologies (e.g., Lean, JIT, ABC analysis, demand forecasting).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop inventory teams, coupled with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
  • Experience with advanced inventory optimization software or specific ERP modules (e.g., SAP MM, Oracle SCM).
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for reporting and analytics.
  • Familiarity with automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) or RFID technology.
