Salary Range: $62,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup, operation, and programming of CNC and conventional machining equipment.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to other machinists.
  • Perform precision quality inspections using advanced measuring instruments to ensure part conformity.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex machining issues, machine malfunctions, and production bottlenecks.
  • Develop and implement optimized machining processes, tooling strategies, and production schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine designs and improve manufacturing techniques.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Extensive experience (7+ years) in precision machining, including significant expertise with CNC mills and lathes.
  • Proven leadership ability, including supervising, training, and mentoring a team of machinists.
  • Expert proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and applying GD&T.
  • Strong knowledge of CAM software (e.g., Mastercam) for programming and process optimization.
  • Expertise in selecting appropriate tooling, fixturing, and materials for diverse manufacturing applications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality control, in-process inspection, and troubleshooting complex machining issues.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360)
  • Experience operating advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills
