Shipping & Receiving Clerk | Ludington, MI

Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Accurately document and record all incoming and outgoing goods.
• Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging goods.
• Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure the shipping and receiving area is organized, clean, and safe.
• Communicate discrepancies, damages, or delays to relevant departments and supervisors.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in a shipping and receiving environment
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and software
• Ability to operate a forklift or other material handling equipment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• - Forklift certification
• - Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles
• - Familiarity with international shipping documentation
