Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product specifications against drawings.
• Document inspection results accurately, including non-conformances, and maintain detailed quality records.
• Identify, quarantine, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action requests.
• Ensure compliance with established quality standards, engineering specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct first-article inspections and in-process audits to ensure adherence to manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in quality inspection or control within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications (including GD&T).
• Skilled in using a variety of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills to identify product defects and non-conformities.
• Ability to accurately document inspection results, complete quality reports, and maintain detailed records.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation or programming.
• Experience applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) software.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or similar continuous improvement training.
