Salary Range: $60,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, program, and validate CMM inspection routines using CAD models and engineering drawings.
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final product validations.
  • Analyze measurement data, interpret results, and generate detailed inspection reports.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize CMM programs to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to define measurement strategies and resolve dimensional issues.
  • Select and configure appropriate CMM probes, fixtures, and measurement methodologies for various part geometries.
  • Maintain CMM calibration records and perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment readiness.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
  • Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation and application.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of metrology principles and measurement techniques.
  • Experience with various CMM equipment and probe systems.

Bonus Qualifications

  • GD&T Certification (e.g., ASME Y14.5)
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA)
  • Experience with multiple CMM programming software platforms (e.g., Calypso, MCOSMOS, Polyworks)
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies
