Salary Range: $62,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and optimize CMM inspection programs from engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and CAD data to define measurement strategies.
• Perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured components using CMMs.
• Generate comprehensive inspection reports, including first article, in-process, and final inspection data.
• Design and procure appropriate fixturing and holding devices for accurate CMM measurement.
• Troubleshoot CMM program errors, measurement discrepancies, and equipment issues.
• Support CMM equipment maintenance, calibration, and validation activities.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• Strong understanding and application of GD&T principles.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.
• Experience with CMM operation, calibration, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of various measurement techniques and metrology best practices.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software for model interpretation and fixture design.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
• Ability to train or mentor junior metrology technicians.
• Experience with other advanced metrology equipment (e.g., laser scanners, vision systems).
