Maintenance Manager | Byron Center, MI

Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Lead, train, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and support staff.
• Manage the maintenance budget, spare parts inventory, and procurement of necessary equipment and services.
• Oversee the diagnosis and repair of complex machinery breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies within maintenance operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall asset performance.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality departments to schedule maintenance activities and support new equipment installations.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in maintenance leadership within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and maintenance best practices (e.g., TPM, RCM, PdM, PM).
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and supervisors.
• Strong understanding of industrial equipment, automation, and facility infrastructure.
• Experience with maintenance budgeting, capital project management, and spare parts inventory optimization.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced CMMS/EAM administration or implementation experience.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience implementing or managing Predictive Maintenance (PdM) technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or significant experience leading capital improvement projects.
