Salary Range: $61,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Grand Haven seeking Estimators who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares accurate and timely cost estimates for manufacturing projects.
• Collaborates with sales, engineering, and production to gather necessary data for bids.
• Analyzes blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Identifies and quantifies cost factors such as materials, labor, and production time.
• Presents prepared estimates to management and clients, explaining breakdowns and methodologies.
• Maintains detailed records of all estimates, including assumptions and supporting documentation.
• Researches and implements new estimating tools, software, and best practices.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and labor costs.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for cost tracking and analysis.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for reviewing technical drawings.
• Project management experience, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual proficiency, especially in languages relevant to the company's supply chain or customer base.
