Salary Range: $65,000 - $98,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Investigate all EHS incidents, near misses, and accidents, determining root causes and implementing preventative measures.
  • Deliver EHS training programs to employees at all levels, fostering a strong safety culture.
  • Manage hazardous waste programs, ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams on new equipment installations and process changes to integrate EHS considerations.
  • Maintain accurate EHS records and prepare reports for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science/engineering field.
  • 3+ years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other federal/state EHS regulations.
  • Proven ability to conduct EHS training, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Experience with developing and implementing EHS programs and procedures.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are a plus.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial hygiene monitoring and sampling (e.g., noise, air contaminants).
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and their application to EHS.
  • Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) or Risk Management Plans (RMP).
  • Proficiency in EHS management software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera).
