Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Grandville region seeking Estimators. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed cost estimates for manufacturing projects, including labor, materials, and overhead.
• Analyzes blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Collaborates with engineering, production, and sales teams to gather necessary information for bid preparation.
• Identifies and evaluates vendors and subcontractors, soliciting quotes and negotiating pricing for materials and services.
• Develops and maintains a comprehensive database of cost information, including historical data and current market trends.
• Presents estimates and proposals to internal stakeholders and external clients, clearly articulating the scope and assumptions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production costs.
• Experience with ERP systems and specialized estimating software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM).
• Proficiency in CAD software for interpreting technical drawings.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their impact on cost.
