Continuous Improvement Manager | East Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $92,000 - $139,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Lead and facilitate Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI projects from conception to completion.
• Analyze manufacturing processes and data to identify areas for waste reduction and efficiency improvement.
• Mentor and train employees at all levels on CI principles, tools, and methodologies.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and measure the impact of CI efforts.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of CI initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in continuous improvement or operational excellence roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Proven experience implementing and sustaining CI methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive cultural change.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification
• Experience with AI/ML-powered process optimization tools
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior CI professionals
• Proven track record of successful cross-functional project leadership
