Salary Range: $62,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision parts.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspections using various metrology tools to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts, ensuring efficient production flow.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine alarms, tool wear, and operational issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and 5S principles.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery and tooling.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming for CNC machines.
• Ability to perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, comparators).
• Experience with tool changes, offsets, and machine setup.

Bonus Qualifications

• Ability to program G-code directly at the machine control
• Experience with CAM software for generating complex toolpaths
• Familiarity with quality inspection tools and CMM operation
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills for machine maintenance
