Salary Range: $55,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.
• Perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, including tool wear and program adjustments.
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts, ensuring proper material handling.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal performance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC Swiss-type lathes (e.g., Citizen, Star, Tsugami).
• Strong understanding of cutting tools, inserts, and their application for various materials.
• Experience with in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators).
• Ability to perform tool offsets and basic program edits at the machine control.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating CNC Swiss lathes in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles
• Experience with other CNC machine types (e.g., milling, turning)
• CMM operation experience
