The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Montague region seeking Buyers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to optimize cost and quality.
• Identify and evaluate new suppliers to expand the vendor base and improve product offerings.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to define material specifications and ensure timely procurement.
• Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize carrying costs.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, and invoicing.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a procurement or buying role within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchasing, inventory, and supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on material requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
• APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP)
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
• Experience with international sourcing and logistics
