Salary Range: $53,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across East Lansing seeking CMM Programmers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and debug CMM programs for complex parts using various software.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and 3D models to create inspection plans.
• Perform first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections using CMM.
• Calibrate and maintain CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize inspection processes and resolve issues.
• Document CMM programs, inspection results, and generate reports.
• Provide training and technical support to CMM operators.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting various CMM hardware.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in CMM programming within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality control methodologies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software for model-based definition (MBD) or Product and Manufacturing Information (PMI)
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for quality improvement
• Ability to perform minor CMM maintenance and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of GD&T beyond basic application, including advanced concepts and their practical implications
