Salary Range: $54,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Wayland seeking CNC Mill Programmers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop CNC programs for 3-axis to 5-axis milling machines using CAM software.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters for optimal performance.
  • Perform post-processing and verify G-code for accuracy and machine compatibility.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to refine programs and troubleshoot issues.
  • Optimize existing CNC programs for efficiency, reduced cycle times, and improved part quality.
  • Create and maintain detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and operational instructions.
  • Conduct first-article inspections and make necessary program adjustments.
  • Stay current with advancements in CAM software, tooling, and machining techniques.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficient in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM) for 3-axis and 5-axis milling.
  • Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming for CNC mills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
  • Experience with tool selection, cutting parameters, and fixture design for various materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to optimize machining processes for efficiency and quality.
