Salary Range: $48,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code to determine machining operations.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tooling to ensure optimal performance.
• Adjust machine settings and tooling to maintain part accuracy and optimize production efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, and part quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.
• Demonstrated ability to perform quality checks using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong understanding of tooling, fixturing, and material properties.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machinery.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to interpret and work from complex engineering drawings and blueprints
• Familiarity with a variety of materials beyond common metals (e.g., plastics, composites, exotic alloys)
• Experience with preventative maintenance on CNC machinery
