Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Grand Rapids that are seeking CNC Lathe Programmers. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for lathes using CAM software.
- Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine optimal machining processes and tool selections.
- Calculate and set up tool offsets, feed rates, and cutting speeds.
- Perform first-article inspections and troubleshoot machining issues to ensure part quality and accuracy.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to optimize programs for efficiency and manufacturability.
- Maintain and update program libraries and documentation.
- Implement and adhere to safety protocols and quality standards.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficient in G-code programming for CNC lathes.
- Demonstrated experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
- Strong understanding of tooling, workholding, and material properties.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
- Proven experience with setup, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC lathes.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and metrology tools.
