Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Holland seeking Embedded Systems Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded software for manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex hardware/software issues in production environments.
• Implement and maintain real-time operating systems (RTOS) and firmware.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate embedded systems.
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness for manufacturing processes.
• Develop and execute test plans for new and existing embedded systems.
• Provide technical support and training for manufacturing personnel on embedded systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in embedded software development for manufacturing or industrial control systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for real-time operating systems (RTOS) and bare-metal programming.
• Experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM, PIC, AVR) and peripheral interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
• Demonstrated ability to debug and troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) beyond basic implementations.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus).
• Proficiency in using hardware debugging tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
• Demonstrated ability to work with and troubleshoot existing legacy systems.
