EHS Manager | Wyoming, MI

Salary Range: $80,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and develop preventative measures to minimize future occurrences.
  • Manage and oversee all EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Develop and manage the facility's emergency response plans and ensure regular drills are conducted.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into all operational processes.
  • Maintain accurate EHS records, reports, and documentation as required by regulations and company policy.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related scientific field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in EHS within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in OSHA, EPA, and other relevant EHS regulations and standards.
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience influencing and collaborating across all levels of an organization.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) are highly preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and/or OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Proficiency in EHS software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Gensuite, Sphera).
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Fluency in multiple languages, particularly relevant to the facility's workforce.
