Salary Range: $73,000 - $118,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Kalamazoo that are seeking skilled Electrical Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Designs, tests, and commissions electrical systems for manufacturing equipment.
• Develops and maintains electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
• Troubleshoots and resolves complex electrical issues on production lines to minimize downtime.
• Implements and optimizes PLC programming and HMI interfaces for automated processes.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate new electrical technologies into existing manufacturing systems.
• Ensures all electrical designs and installations comply with relevant safety standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA).
• Manages and executes electrical upgrade projects, from conception to successful implementation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical design, testing, and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical) for schematic design and panel layouts.
• Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems.
• Experience with power distribution, motor controls, and safety circuits.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for industrial control systems.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers or lead small project teams.
• Experience with vision systems or robotics in a manufacturing environment.
