Assembly Supervisor | Allegan, MI

Salary Range: $63,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates the activities of assembly line workers.
• Ensures production targets and quality standards are met.
• Trains new employees on assembly procedures and safety protocols.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to equipment, materials, or processes.
• Implements and enforces company policies and safety regulations.
• Monitors workflow and adjusts staffing as needed to optimize productivity.
• Conducts performance evaluations and provides feedback to team members.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing assembly, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in training, coaching, and developing assembly teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and other production management software.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
• Proficiency in using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Certification in a relevant area such as Six Sigma Green Belt or similar.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with automated assembly processes or robotics.
