Plant Manager | Mattawan, MI

Salary Range: $138,000 - $189,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily plant operations, including production, quality, maintenance, and shipping.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve production targets, cost efficiencies, and quality standards.
• Manage and mentor a diverse team of supervisors and production personnel, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Optimize resource allocation, including labor, equipment, and materials, to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing principles and data-driven decision-making.
• Manage plant budget, controlling expenses and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and supply chain, to meet customer demands and company objectives.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, including at least 3 years as a Plant Manager or similar role.
• Proven track record in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence methodologies.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L, and driving cost reduction initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Experience with SAP or other major ERP systems
• Project management experience, especially related to capital improvements
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
