HR Generalist | Mason, MI

Salary Range: $54,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Mason that are seeking HR Generalists. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Manages full-cycle recruitment for production and support roles, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Administers employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k), and leave management.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state labor laws and company policies within a manufacturing environment.
  • Supports employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Processes payroll and maintains accurate HR records and HRIS data for all manufacturing employees.
  • Conducts new hire orientation and facilitates training programs for manufacturing staff.
  • Assists with HR projects, such as policy development, HRIS implementations, and talent management initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
  • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with HRIS implementation or optimization
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
