Salary Range: $56,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Ludington seeking HR Generalists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, and 401k plans.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for production and administrative roles, from job posting to offer generation.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and manage onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in compliance with labor laws and company objectives.
  • Handle employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure data integrity in the HRIS.
  • Support performance management processes, including annual reviews and goal setting.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state labor laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding for various plant and office positions.
  • Proven ability to manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with an aptitude for data analysis and reporting.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with HRIS implementation or optimization
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Familiarity with a specific manufacturing sector (e.g., automotive, aerospace, food production)
