Lean Manufacturing Engineer | Spring Lake, MI
Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping).
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify waste, bottlenecks, and opportunities for efficiency gains.
- Implement and sustain Lean tools and principles across production lines and support functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute improvement projects.
- Train and mentor employees on Lean manufacturing concepts and problem-solving techniques.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of Lean initiatives.
- Lead root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience implementing Lean manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., VSM, 5S, Kaizen, SMED, Kanban).
- Proven ability to lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects with measurable results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis and root cause analysis.
- Experience with process mapping, time studies, and standard work development.
Bonus Qualifications
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Experience with simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim)
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, AI)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience in a high-volume, highly automated manufacturing environment
