Incoming Inspection Technician | Wyoming, MI

Salary Range: $49,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Wyoming that are seeking skilled Incoming Inspection Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies.
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, blueprints, and specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of inspected items.
• Identify and tag non-conforming materials, initiating the non-conformance process.
• Calibrate and maintain inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or technical certification preferred.
• 2+ years experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.

Bonus Qualifications

• IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification
• Experience with a variety of measurement tools beyond calipers/micrometers (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)
• Familiarity with ERP systems for quality data entry
• Ability to read and interpret complex GD&T callouts
