Salary Range: $84,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IATF 16949 compliant quality management system processes.
  • Conduct internal audits and manage external certification audits to ensure ongoing IATF 16949 compliance.
  • Lead problem-solving activities using core tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) to address non-conformances and prevent recurrence.
  • Facilitate APQP activities, including FMEAs, Control Plans, and PPAP submissions for new product introductions and changes.
  • Monitor and analyze key quality performance indicators, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on IATF 16949 standards and quality methodologies.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of IATF 16949 standards and core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
  • Proven ability to lead problem-solving initiatives using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone diagrams.
  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CSSBB) are a plus.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Certified Lead Auditor (e.g., IATF 16949, VDA 6.3)
  • Experience with AIAG Core Tools beyond basic application (e.g., advanced SPC, MSA studies)
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for data analysis and problem-solving
  • Knowledge of advanced manufacturing processes (e.g., additive manufacturing, robotics) and their quality implications
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
