HR Manager | Caledonia, MI

Salary Range: $80,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Caledonia that are seeking skilled HR Managers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with manufacturing goals.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention for a diverse workforce.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws and safety regulations.
  • Administer compensation, benefits, and performance management systems.
  • Lead training and development initiatives for manufacturing personnel.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and employee engagement.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state labor laws, HR best practices, and manufacturing-specific HR challenges (e.g., shift work, safety regulations, union environments).
  • Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives and support a positive employee relations culture.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with HRIS implementation and optimization
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their application to HR
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
