Salary Range: $78,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Jenison that are seeking skilled IATF Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain IATF 16949 compliant quality management systems and procedures.
- Lead and participate in internal and external IATF 16949 audits, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Oversee APQP activities, including PPAP submissions, FMEAs, Control Plans, and MSA studies.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints and non-conformances using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product introductions and process changes to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Provide training and guidance on IATF 16949 standards and quality tools to manufacturing personnel.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality engineering role within an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in IATF 16949 standards and their practical application.
- Strong proficiency in core quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
- Demonstrated ability to lead problem-solving initiatives using methodologies like 8D, 5 Whys, or Fishbone diagrams.
