Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Kalamazoo that are seeking Fabrication Leads. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor fabrication team members, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Plan, schedule, and assign daily fabrication tasks to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
• Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of fabrication equipment, including welders, saws, and grinders.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication of components.
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure finished products meet design specifications and industry standards.
• Manage inventory of raw materials and consumables, coordinating with procurement to ensure timely availability.
• Identify and resolve fabrication issues, implementing corrective actions to optimize processes and reduce waste.
• Conduct regular safety audits and provide training to ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, STICK) and metal forming processes (cutting, bending, shearing).
• Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and supervise a team of skilled fabricators.
• Experience with quality control procedures and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining fabrication machinery and tools.
