Salary Range: $55,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor fabrication team, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Plan and coordinate daily fabrication activities, ensuring efficient workflow and on-time delivery.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide fabrication processes.
• Operate and maintain various fabrication equipment, including welders, grinders, and cutting tools.
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure products meet specified standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues, optimizing production efficiency and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and implement process improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, including welding, cutting, and forming.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to supervise and mentor a team of skilled fabricators.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and fabrication techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain high quality standards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Experience with various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and fabrication machinery.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with robotic welding or automated fabrication equipment.
• CAD/CAM proficiency for design review and fixture development.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement certification.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior fabricators.
• Bilingual (e.g., Spanish/English) to facilitate communication with a diverse workforce.
