Salary Range: $57,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Grandville region seeking Fabrication Leads. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train fabrication team members on best practices and safety protocols.
• Oversee the scheduling and execution of fabrication projects to meet production deadlines.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of fabricated components through inspection and testing.
• Maintain and troubleshoot fabrication equipment, including welders, saws, and presses.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize product manufacturability.
• Manage inventory of raw materials and consumables for fabrication operations.
• Implement and enforce lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of various fabrication techniques, including welding (MIG, TIG, STICK), cutting, forming, and machining.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train a team of skilled fabricators.
• Experience with quality control processes and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Solid understanding of material properties and their application in fabrication.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with robotics or automation in a manufacturing setting.
• CAD/CAM software proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Lean Six Sigma certification or demonstrated experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
• Welding certifications (e.g., AWS D1.1).
• Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish.
