Salary Range: $49,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Plainwell region seeking Payroll Specialists. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.
Key Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage timekeeping system and integrate data for payroll processing, including shift differentials and overtime.
- Calculate and submit all federal, state, and local payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Administer employee benefits deductions, including health insurance, 401(k), and other voluntary deductions.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax information in a professional and timely manner.
- Prepare and distribute W-2 forms annually and handle year-end payroll closing procedures.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and general ledger entries, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure confidentiality of all payroll information.
Recommended Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience processing payroll for a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, UKG Pro) and timekeeping systems.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including multi-state payroll.
- Experience with payroll for a unionized workforce and associated deductions/reporting.
- Proven ability to handle high-volume payroll processing with a high degree of accuracy.
