Salary Range: $74,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and marketing, to define packaging requirements and specifications.
• Optimize packaging designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, sustainability, and supply chain efficiency.
• Conduct packaging material selection, testing, and qualification to ensure performance and compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues during production and in the field.
• Develop and maintain packaging documentation, including specifications, test reports, and assembly instructions.
• Stay abreast of new packaging technologies, materials, and regulations to drive continuous improvement.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for package design and analysis.
• Demonstrated knowledge of various packaging materials, testing methodologies, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with packaging machinery and automation.
• Strong understanding of relevant industry standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM) and regulations.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software
• Familiarity with sustainable packaging materials and practices
• Knowledge of ISTA testing procedures and standards
• Experience with automation and robotics in packaging
• Project management experience
