Salary Range: $44,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Delta Township that are seeking Incoming Inspection Technicians. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Document inspection results accurately in the Quality Management System (QMS), including acceptance, rejection, and non-conformance details.
  • Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for rejected materials and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Purchasing, Suppliers) to resolve quality issues.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
  • Verify supplier certifications and documentation (e.g., Material Certs, Certificates of Conformance) to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area, adhering to all safety protocols and quality procedures.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of inspection procedures and work instructions.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Demonstrated ability to use various precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conforming materials

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with CMM operation and/or programming.
  • Familiarity with PPAP submissions and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, including GD&T.
  • Certification in a relevant quality discipline (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector).
  • Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
