Quality Engineer | Muskegon, MI
Salary Range: $71,000 - $105,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Muskegon seeking Quality Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection plans.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Monitor and analyze production processes and product quality data to identify areas for improvement.
- Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Review and approve supplier qualifications and incoming material quality.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and other quality tools.
- Experience with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and non-conformance management.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) software and tools.
- ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CSQP, CMQ/OE).
- Project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of specific industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, FDA).
