Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Paw Paw that are seeking skilled Purchasing Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost and quality.
• Manage supplier relationships, including negotiation of contracts and performance evaluation.
• Oversee inventory levels and implement strategies for efficient material flow.
• Lead and mentor a team of purchasing agents and buyers.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to forecast material needs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical purchasing practices.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of negotiating complex contracts and achieving cost savings.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems and procurement software.
• Experience with supplier relationship management and performance evaluation.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and their impact on supply chain.
